Project partnerships – dialogue and training for German municipalities
Network meeting and training seminar in Magdeburg, 25-27 November 2019
In cooperation with the City of Magdeburg, the partnerships component of the 'Municipal Know-how for Host Communities in the Middle East' programme will be inviting participants to attend a network meeting and a training seminar on the 'Middle East Quick-Starter Package' from 25-27 November 2019. The invitation will be extended to municipalities already involved in the programme, as well as municipalities, municipal enterprises and municipal associations interested in project partnerships with entities in Jordan, Lebanon or Turkey.
The network meeting will give participants an opportunity to share lessons learned with regard to the success stories and challenges faced when implementing municipal project partnerships. Workshops will be held to discuss cooperation in the key areas of expert dialogue such as solid waste management, water supply and sanitation, education and refugee integration. Another topic of discussion at the meeting will be how to further integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the know-how partnerships.
The seminar on the Middle East Quick Starter Package will train participants on how to submit proposals, implement activities and produce reports. The seminar will focus on the two areas of implementation and reporting.
