Ramtha is the city in Jordan most affected by the Syrian crisis, since most of ist population depended on trade with Syria. Only 30% of the municipality’s areas are covered by sewage systems. Many roads Need maintenance. There is an industrial area (QIZ) in Ramtha, which is close to the Syrian border, but Ramtha is also an agricultural area.
